No countdown clock

Almost every browser game shows a number that looks like a clock. Asking whether a clock is present tells you nothing, because most of these boards have one. The question that decides whether you can think slowly is which way it runs, and that is what this set is sorted by.

Clocks that count upwards

Three boards here print a timer that grows while you sit still. It is a record of how long you have been there, not a budget you are spending.

Bubble Shooter is the one people expect to fail. A cartoon clownfish holds the launcher along the bottom edge, six rows of coloured bubbles hang above it, and a dashed line crosses the screen to mark the danger level. The header reads SHOTS 10, SCORE 90, LEVEL 1, and the word TIME sits at the very bottom. We read it at 00:06, walked away, came back to 01:25 — and every bubble was exactly where we had left it.

Candy Super Lines puts a seven-by-five pastel grid under striped marshmallows, blue dome sweets, green swirls, pink sugar drops and a diamond of chocolate. Its right-hand panel stacks four score fields — Score, Last Score, High Score, All Score — above a timer that moved from 00:06 to 01:24 with nobody touching the mouse.

Super Color Lines Match 5 runs the same engine on a much larger board: thirteen by ten grey octagons on black, fewer than twenty gems scattered across them in blue, orange, violet, red, green and silver, and a disco panel glowing on the right. Same four score fields, plus a save button, and the same upward timer: 00:05 before, 01:23 after.

A stopwatch that belongs to you

Pops Billiards views the table from directly above: fifteen numbered balls racked in a triangle, the cue ball parked mid-table, a cue poking in from the left edge. The bar along the top reads LIFE:x3, TIME and BALLS:0, and along the bottom sit BestTime and LastTime. Those two fields are the giveaway. The number is not the game hurrying you; it is the game recording you, which is why leaving the table alone for 75 seconds moved the reading from 4 to 83 and changed nothing else on the felt.

A board with no number at all

Balloon Paradise is the only member with no time field anywhere. The header holds High Score, Score and Last Score, nothing more. Balloons with faces drift up from a beach at sunrise, and a row of small balloons along the bottom carries counters reading = 0. One honest caveat we owe you: this is also the only board that does not sit perfectly still while you are away. The balloons keep rising on their own and the score ticked from 0 to 1 during our test. Nothing punished us for being absent, but the screen was not frozen either.

How to repeat the audit yourself

Open any game, click through until the board is actually live, then leave it completely alone for 75 seconds and look again. A summary panel, a bounce back to the title screen, or a replay button means a clock was running the whole time even though you did nothing wrong. Everything above survived that; a great many titles did not.

The failures are worth naming, because a set is only as honest as the list it rejects. Casino Cards Memory starts at 01:00, ticks down, drains your in-game money on wrong flips and posts a cash summary by itself. Lollipops Match 3 fell from TIME 23 to 20 while we watched, then showed a score card. Jelly Match 3 and Monsters Match 3 both threw themselves back to the title screen untouched. Pool 8 Ball offers PLAYER VS TIMER as its single-player mode, which settles the question on its own menu. Space Match 3 and Schitalochka never rendered a playable board for our tooling at all — one stayed black, the other froze on the studio logo — and an unverified game does not belong in a set built on one promise.

If you want the opposite experience, short rounds with a stated ending, that is the three-minute set. To browse a whole shelf rather than a curated list, the puzzle category is the wider view.

Common questions about untimed play

How many boards ended up in this set?

Five. The original plan named ten, only three survived the hands-off test, and two of those moved to the set with no game over because that promise described them better. The rest of the list was rebuilt from candidates that passed the same test.

Is any of this scored against the clock?

No. Where a timer exists it counts upwards, and in one case it is explicitly a personal record rather than a limit. Nothing here ends because time ran out.

Does the board survive if I walk away mid-game?

For as long as the tab stays open, yes — that is precisely what the 75-second test demonstrates. Closing the tab is a fresh start, because this site keeps no progress of yours on our side.
